The Annapurna mountain range, in central Nepal, is home to some of the most iconic mountain scenery in the world and is criss-crossed by some of the country's most popular hiking trails. For those looking for a less crowded and sweeter view of this spectacular terrain, the trek to Mardi Himal is perfect. Mardi Himal Trek presents a fascinating and picturesque adventure to Mardi Himal, where you will be completely soaked by the sight of snow-capped peaks, lush green hills and walking in a pristine forest with beautiful rows of pine and rhododendron oaks. The trek consists of walking up and then along a ridge that juts into the Annapurnas, to a viewpoint perched at the end of it. Stunning views of the lesser-known side of one of the range’s most famous peaks – the 6993 metre-high Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) – alone make the trek worth doing.
The Mardi Himal is located at an altitude of 3,580 m. You will see the entire chain of Annapurna in a snow dress from the top of the camp. It is a great place to admire the impressive Annapurna base camp. By taking the Mardi Himal hiking trail, you will arrive at the Mardi Himal base camp. The perfect presentations of the Annapurna range is appealing. The spectacular sunrise and sunset during the trekking are remarkable. The trek to Mardi Himal goes through beautiful villages. The beautiful Rhododendron forests are always there welcoming you into immortal wilderness. You will walk across the forests till you march to 3,300 m altitude.

Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuban International Airport.

Our airport representative will be there to pick us up from the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. We take a short drive from the airport to our hotel. After a short rest, we can visit office to discuss more about the trek. In the evening, we have Nepalese cuisine at a welcome dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.


Day 2: At morning Basantpur Durber Squar Swayambhu Nath sightseeing and Prepare for trek.

Today early morning we visit Basantapur Durbar Square which is in the heart of old Kathmandu city in Basantapur that never fails to impress first time visitors with its intricate wood carvings and rich history. Surrounded by concrete buildings, the complex is an oasis in a fast developing, chaotic modern city. Then in the afternoon we visit Swayambhunath which is also known as the monkey temple. At the evening we introduce ourselves to our fellow participants and discuss our trip for next day. Overnight in Kathmandu.


Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara (827m) - 6 hours drive by tourist bus.

After breakfast, early in the morning, we head towards Pokhara, also known as the Lake City due to the large number of lakes in the city. Upon our arrival in Pokhara, we are rewarded with magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri (8,167m / 26,794 feet), Manaslu (8,156m / 26,759 feet), Machhapuchhre (6,993m / 22,943 feet), the five Annapurna peaks and others. Then we check into our hotel and take a break. We enjoy sailing on Fewa Lake and stroll through the picturesque streets of the city. Overnight in Pokhara.


Day 4: Pokhara – Kande - Pitam durali (2100m) - 2 hours drive and 5 hours trek.

After an early morning breakfast, we start our adventure with a drive to Kande and start trekking from there. We walk on stone steps, terraced fields, villages and forests before reaching Dhampus, where we will have lunch. We continue our walk towards Deurali, a small town beautifully situated on a ridge with a beautiful view of South Annapurna, Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhare. Night in Deurali.


Day 5: Pitam durali to Low Camp (2970m) – 6 hours trek.

Our path crosses a lush forest dotted with red rhododendrons. Flowers are common in the Nepalese hills and it is not surprising that this is the national flower of Nepal. Our path is very calm until the clearing of the forest camp. We continue to walk through dense forests admiring the rich biodiversity of Nepal and reaching the low camp. From here, the fantastic view of the Mt. Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) in the valley is fascinating. We can spend time at night observing the local way of life. Night in low camp.


Day 6: Low camp to High camp (3600m) – 4 hours trek.

We climb along a ridge in the direction of Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre. The rows of trees begins to get thinner and the area is mainly composed of shrubs with isolated rhododendron bushes along the path. If we are lucky, we might even see pheasant Daphne (Nepal's national bird) on our way up the camp. From here, the view of the mountain is magnificent. Night in High Camp.


Day 7: High camp - MBC(4500m) – Badal Danda(3100m) – 6 hours trek.

On our journey to the Upper View Point, we ascend and descend, on a steep and narrow path. Our trail passes through the pastures and we walk along a narrow ridge before reaching the Upper View Point. The view of the Himalayas from here is amazing. We see Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m), Tent Peak (5695m), Singhachuli (6501m), Machhapuchhre ( 6993m) and others. We walk back to the Badal Danda for the night. Night in High Camp.


Day 8: Badal Danda to Lwang(1460m) – 6hours trek.

We take a different route in high camp that takes us to Forest Camp. The different route lets us experience something different and makes our trek exciting. After having breakfast we will step descend to Lwang and night stay there.


Day 9: Lwang to Suikhet(1200m) – 4hours trek.

From Lwang you walk up to a place called Suikhet where you will find traditional local village with stone shelter house. You could test local food . Night spent there.


Day 10: Suikhet-Hemja to Pokhara (827m) - 3hours trek and 1hours drive.

After breakfast, you will trek another 3 to 4 hours towards Hemja . After having few minutes rest you will take jeep to back Pokhara. Stay overnight at a Pokhara.


Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu (1400m) – 7hour drive.

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the beautiful northern horizon of Pokhara and head towards Kathmandu. This will be a trip along the banks of the river with wonderful views of the terraced hills and the Nepalese rural lifestyle. After arriving in Kathmandu, we take a break or do some souvenir shopping. To celebrate the successful completion of our trip, we will have a farewell dinner at night. Overnight in Kathmandu.


Day 12: Departure to home.

Our trip to Mardi Himal in Nepal ends today. Our airport representative will drive you to the airport about three hours before the planned flight. On your return flight, you can bring back incredible memories of your trip to Nepal.
