Kopra Trek – 14 Days

14 Days

Kopra trek is one of least explored and incredible trekking destinations in Nepal. The Kopra is located away from the busier trails of Annapurna region. It is one of the most exotic and interesting trek routes in Annapurna region. This trek contains all of the elements of a classic Nepal trekking experience including villages, wildlife, panoramic mountain views including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fang and Nilgiri and range of landscape from forest to high alpine trek. Another attraction of this trek is the holy Kaire Lake. Kopra trek is often compared to its neighbouring destination Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. However, regarding altitude, Kopra danda rises to an elevation of 3,640 meters whereas Poon hill is located at 3,210 meters. There is no doubt that Kopra Ridge is one of the best short treks in Nepal.
Though it is in the heart of Annapurna region trekkers, have often underrated this destination because it is hidden from the main trail of Annapurna circuit. Kopra trekking provides immense views of Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Nilgiri (7061m), Bharha Shikhar (7647m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South (7219m) Hiunchuli (6434m), Fishtail (6997m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna IV (7525m) , Lamjung Himal (6983m) and other famous mountains. The path to Kopra goes through dense and lush green forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron. On the route, you will see especially the Magar and the Gurung communities who have developed for themselves the identity of successful hospitality providers. Hence Kopra trek trail is a splendid opportunity to explore the exotic lifestyle and culture of local communities.
